Pick Your Own

Seaquist Orchards offers pick your own sweet and tart cherries and apples in our orchard just west of our farm market. PYO dates depend completely on mother nature, so please watch our facebook page or call us as the time gets closer to harvest for exact dates (option 1 on our phone system is updated frequently during harvest times to let you know exactly what’s happening). Typically, sweet cherries are available for PYO from around 7/5-7/30 and tart cherries are available from around 7/12-7/30 and apples will be available for weekends only in October.

For 2026 cherry season: PYO is open Thursday’s through Saturday’s 10-4 beginning on 7/9. Our sweet cherry crop is light this year, but we hope to be open as much as possible! We are hoping to be open beginning 7/9 for sweet cherries. We are predicting sweet cherries to be available until around 7/18. Tart cherries should begin around 7/16 and we hope to have available until around 8/1. We do NOT have a cherry pitter. Please follow the signs for parking.

FAQ’s for PYO

Our pick your own stand is open from 10 am – 4 pm. We ask you to be checked in no later than 4 pm and have your pails/baskets picked no later than 4:30 pm.

Please do not park in our farm market parking lot, that means you have to cross the busy highway and it’s dangerous. Park in our orchard parking lot. Follow the signs directly across the highway from the market.

Please check in at our stand when you arrive and let us know what you would like to pick (half pails or full pails and sweet or tart, variety for apples). You are given a ticket and your pails and an explanation of where the best picking is. You pick your fruit and then check out with us at the end. You pay by the pail or basket, not by the pound.

Don’t worry, we will direct you (by signs, flags, maps or verbally) to the best picking when you arrive!

For cherries: We provide lined pails, but the pails are returned to us. Your cherries will be double bagged for you to take home. Cherries (especially for tart cherries) are best when cooled down immediately, so we do suggest bringing coolers with ice.

For apples: We provide a beautiful 1 peck basket that you will pick into and take home with you. We do recommend getting your apples into a cooler at some point, but they are okay to wait until the end of your day!

Entry into pick your own is free, you only pay by the small or large pail for cherries or basket for apples. Bring as many friends and family as you would like! It’s an experience that can’t be beat.

We accept cash, debit and credit cards.

Yes, you can! Typically, fruit is abundant in early to mid-July and there will be no need to use any ladders. Towards the end of the season, picking may be scarcer and ladders will be available. Ladders are to be used at your own risk.

Yes, please do! Please post them and tag us @seaquistorchards and you can use #seaquistcherrypicking
