Coming to see the sea of cherry blossoms in Door County is something everyone must experience at least once in their lifetime!
Typically blossoms happen sometime from around 5/10-5/25. However, blossom time is hard to predict as it completely depends upon how harsh of a winter we have and how quickly spring comes upon us. Weather at that time of year can change quickly, so we often don’t know well until only 1-2 weeks ahead of time. You can watch for blossom updates on our website homepage around mid April. Blossoms normally last around one week.
The best place to see the blossoms is right at our market. You are welcome to walk into the orchards you see just north of our market. Want to drive and see more (we all do)? We have orchards (and many other growers) extending from Sturgeon Bay to Sister Bay and have “Scenic Drive Maps” available on our facebook page prior to blossom time.
Once blossom time hits, we usually can predict harvest time as that is always 60 days after blossoms.
