Cherries

Now that I’ve got all this fruit,
what do I do with it?

We’ve all been there. you’ve enjoyed shopping for delicious, nutritious fruit - but now you are home and don’t know what to do with that bunch, bushel, pint, pail or peck! WE’ve got some ideas, and are more than happy to share them with you. keep your eyes open for a tasty new recipe or two in each issue. We’ll help you with your fruitful endeavors.

Mom’s Cherry Pudding
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup sugar
pinch of salt
2tsp melted butter
2 cups pitted cherries (fresh, frozen or canned)
1-1/2 cups sugar
2 Tblsp. butter
3 cups boiling water

Combine first 5 ingredients with 1 cup cold water and pour in 9 x 13 pan.
Combine last 4 ingredients and pour on top of batter.
Bake 30 minutes at 400 degrees.
This is so easy, and so good - hot or cold - plain or with ice cream.
